Legends Tour

The Legends Tour is the official European senior golf tour for professional players aged 50 and above. Established in 1992 as the European Senior Tour, it was rebranded in 2020 following a joint venture between the European Tour Group and Ryan Howsam, founder and CEO of Staysure. This collaboration aimed to enhance the tour’s profile and provide unique opportunities for amateur golfers to engage with seasoned professionals.
The tour boasts a distinguished roster of players, including former Major winners, World Number Ones, and Ryder Cup captains. Notable figures such as Thomas Bjørn, Paul McGinley, and Ian Woosnam have been associated with the Legends Tour, contributing to its reputation as a premier senior golf circuit.
In recent years, the Legends Tour has significantly expanded its global presence, staging events across multiple continents. The 2025 schedule includes 15 tournaments with a total prize fund of €10.9 million, reflecting the tour’s continued commitment to raising the profile of senior professional golf and offering world-class competitive opportunities for its players.
Beyond professional competition, the Legends Tour offers unique experiences for amateur golfers to play alongside legends and celebrities in events such as the Celebrity Pro-Am. This initiative fosters a deeper connection between fans and the sport, enhancing the overall appeal of the tour.
