Ryan Howsam is a British entrepreneur and investor best known for founding Staysure, a leading travel insurance company in the UK. His entrepreneurial journey began at the age of 17, selling double glazing, which laid the foundation for his future business ventures.

In 2004, Howsam established Staysure, focusing on providing travel insurance tailored for the over-50s market. Leveraging his marketing acumen, he rapidly expanded the company without external investment, positioning Staysure as a market leader in its sector.

In 2005, Ryan Howsam visited Sri Lanka to work with a group of software engineers to begin development for Staysure. Two years later, in 2007, Intervest was formally incorporated as a BOI-approved technology and services provider in Sri Lanka.

An avid golfer, Howsam’s passion for the sport led him to acquire a majority stake in the Legends Tour, formerly known as the European Senior Tour, in 2020. This strategic move underscores his dedication to blending personal interests with business endeavors, aiming to revitalize and promote senior professional golf.
