Digital Learning Designer

Summary of role
The Digital Learning Designer will be a creative and technically proficient professional with at least one year’s experience in e-learning and multimedia design. The ideal candidate will have experience in multimedia design and e-learning development, with a strong command of authoring tools such as Articulate 360.
This role demands the capability to design and deliver high-quality, learning solutions that integrate instructional design principles with digital media, including imagery, audio, video, animation, and interactive elements. The designer will craft content that is both engaging and efficient, meeting the diverse needs of learners across the organisation.
Working collaboratively across teams, the role holder will develop visually impactful, brand-aligned learning assets while fostering trusted relationships with stakeholders across group functions, portfolio brands, and subject matter experts.
Role and Responsibilities
· Design, edit and develop high-quality digital learning assets using a blend of visual, audio, video, animation, and interactive elements.
· Collaborate with subject matter experts, operational leads, and brand teams to ensure content is accurate, inclusive, and aligned with regulatory standards.
· Design bespoke instructional and blended learning solutions including assessments and simulations across portfolio brands.
· Create storyboards and build interactive eLearning courses using authoring tools /Articulate Storyline 360.
· Build and nurture learning communities across group functions, fostering engagement and knowledge sharing.
· Apply UX/UI principles to enhance accessibility, clarity, and learner experience across platforms.
· Support continuous improvement by incorporating feedback, analytics, and lessons learned into future designs.· Assist with the development of training and support materials (job aides, user guides, FAQs, etc.) that enhance the user experience.
· Have an expert knowledge of L&D trends and develop innovative ideas. Research new learning solutions /tools and make recommendations for technologies. Consider all options/methodologies before applying learning design.
· Use feedback and post course evaluations to recommend changes to enhance training collateral and materials, ensuring learning outcomes and objectives are achieved.
· Support the uploading of learning courses and materials to agreed quality standards, creating course catalogues and evaluations, and producing reports as requested.
Essential Skills
· Minimum 1 year of experience in digital learning, multimedia, or e-learning design.
· Proficiency in Articulate 360 and other authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Camtasia).
· Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design and instructional impact.
· Strong digital skills, including a good understanding of the features of Teams, Zoom or similar online conferencing platforms.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines.
· Excellent technical trouble-shooting skills and proactive approach to problem solving.
· Good attention to detail, efficient and organsied.
· Quickly and accurately establishes priorities and executes them despite conflicting agendas and multiple deliverables.
· Ability to work as part of a team and own initiative.
Desirable Skills
· Experience working in financial services, insurance, or regulated environments.
· Detailed understanding of FCA regulations and how it impacts the group.Performance Measures
